Talking First time riding

First bike. First time on one. Still hella nervous/in need of practice. I just got my endorsement less than 2 weeks ago but I needed a bike to practice on and the 300 was a nice price and looked amazing too. Haven't left the neighborhood yet.. lol. Don't feel confident I won't stall out, but only been on this new bike twice so.. Nice to meet you guys!

I got the white one 'cause I saw these nice vintage looking seats that go on them.. Anyone know a good place to get those? Saw them on eBay once.

Hi godlysoup,

Welcome. I also started on a white 300. After just a season and a half of riding I feel pretty confident now, with many things still to learn I'm sure. These are extremely forgiving bikes, so be confident, but also cautious. I started a bit in an empty lot during my initial days even after completing the MSF course, so that might not be a bad idea. Also helps to familiarize yourself with the clutch.

Hope you enjoy it, and happy and safe riding,

Hammad

Welcome and enjoy that ride. Take your time in a parking lot as stated, or stay around the neighborhood until you feel confident. Takes time, listen to your gut and you'll be fine.

I used to watch his vids, but got bored with them.

Also had a several day long debate with him when he started putting out instructional videos with bad information, how to properly counter-steer was one of the big ones.

He's always preaching that people should take the MSF course, which he never did... but when you call him out on bad info and suggest he follow his own advice and take the course to learn *good* information, he plays it off like he's the expert and you don't know what you're talking about.

ETA: Walterrific and Mr. V-Rod are probably my 2 favorite moto-vloggers.
