Bobber Build

Ok, So im sure you guys have all seen the custom rebels. In particular the warhawk *blue snow camo custom* bike. They all have the short rear fender and thats what I am looking to do to mine. I work in manufacturing and have a fab genius that can grind the fender down for free. In doing this, I will lose my tail light and turn signals.

Given this, I was hoping you guys could put me into an entire rear fender assembly that would be easy for me to wire *I am absolutely terrible with electrical assembly*. There are a few options for LED strips/ universal turn signals, but this would also mean I would need a side mounted license plate.

Just looking for any ideas or guidance if anybody else has jumped the gun on this outside of paying $300 for that K-speed custom fender.

I would definitely go for the under tail led strip (brake and signal functions) and then hit it with the side plate with those led plate bolt things. Functional, on the cheaper side opposed to buying the complete custom fender, and easy to wire up.

OBS OBS OBS! BE AWARE, several thai people who have done the same has ended up with broken tail light due to the low clearence to the tire, so when the springs compress the tire rubs against the tail light and destroys it!
Looks dope as f, but be aware of this little issue!

Dude I'm taking my whole fender off for now. Ordered a sideways 3/4 axle curved sideways license plate. Going to try and bolt it on the rear axle. Possibly the lower suspension bolt. It has a tailight on it so I figure I'll try that for a sec. Them I'm getting two turn signals and hopefully put them on the frame. If not I have other options. You should be fine. Start looking on Instagram. Some Americans just going in and fabing.

I've just finished installing the H2C Fender.
Led tail light & new turn signals.

To be honest I'm not the most mechanically minded, but after pondering where do I start with this, it's very easy.
Just don't rush & take note of the very few original parts that are going back on.

Seat is off first then unbolt the ECU (I think that's what it is) & disconect the plug & so on
Follow the diagram I've put here.
When you unbolt the Fender & disconnected the indicator and stop light plugs you'll see how easy it's becoming.
I cut the wires from the fender lights so I could re-use the original connectors, then soldered extra lengths to the cut end, 'or use bullit connectors'.
The only tricky bit is identifying the coloured wires of the new lights as thier prob gonna be different.
The led stop light I used has indicators but I've not used those wires, it's now only a stop & running light.

There's a lot of choices for you I'm sure for different brand or configurations for mounting new lights.

this diagram you posted is exactly what I was looking for. I'm really looking for some guidance as to how to take off the rear fender but I think the diagram should outline it well enough. Before I pull the plug I need to order a new tail light and turn signals/ license plate mount. Once I have the parts I'll start working on this. Also I have contemplated just taking the rear fender off entirely.

Ps your bike looks great man, essentially exactly what I'm going for.

are you saying your license plate mount has a integrated tail light? If so, can you send me a link. I would be interested in this.
