Rear seat removed, put bolts back on??

Hello,

I have a quick question regarding my 2018 Rebel 500. It came with a rear passenger seat which I took off. After, I tried to put the two bolts back on, but they do not screw all the way down to make the rear fender look flush or somewhat flush with just two black screws sticking out.

The last bolt, the one at the very back is one black screw with black washer and the front one is another black screw with black washer and a silver washer(?) thing which the rear seat hooks on to.

I want to keep the rear seat removed and still have it look clean, but idk how. Did you guys get a different screws? Or just screwed the stock bolts on? If you used stock screws, how did you make it screw all the way down so that only thing that sticks out is just the top of the screw?

Thank you

Keep the screws and store them with the seat.

Go to your local auto parts place and get Christmas tree plugs and push them into the holes.

I'm not sure on the exact size needed but here is a general link that should help you find some.

The bolts are 8mm so that is the size you will need.

After I removed the seat I covered the holes with adhesive screw whole stickers, the ones that get put to cover screw wholes in wood. I paid like 1$ for an A4 sheet of them. You can find them in many colors and they're cheap.
