What kind of bike is this?

Hey all,

Hope riding is going well. Someone asked me what kind of bike I ride and I didn't know what to say. I said "cruiser / sportster" but I'm not sure that's right. Is the 300 a cafe racer? I'm new to biking so am not sure what makes a bike a cafe racer as opposed to a cruiser.

Thanks, and safe riding.

I believe it’s given style name is a ‘Bobber’ but if you heavily customise it, I’m not sure if it retains the same Bobber style.
So if you change the seat to a cafe style & straight H/bars & nobbly tires it could then be called a cafe racer I suppose.

I think the Rebel is just a custom bike. Most definitely not a cafe racer, ad those have the seat at the same height as the tank and handlebars that are positioned to a front-leaning riding position. A cruiser is, to my understanding, something designed for longer rides in terms of comfort and storage capacity

I like Bobber as a description. Fits it well as far as I'm concerned.

Here it's called a cruiser. But I believe you're mixing the area of usage of a cruiser with a touring bike. A cruiser is a bike you just cruise with, hence the name. When you go out on a short/fast trip with your bike, it's a cruise. You don't suddently find yourself 4-5 hours away from home. That's touring in that case.

Makes sense when you put it like that

The correct answer that absolutely can not be debated: "It's a Honda."

I think I see the bobber argument. Maybe between a bobber and a cruiser.
EDIT: Looks kind of like the Harley iron 883 but smaller...no?

Just a little smaller, yes.

They had a beautiful Iron on the showroom floor when I was shopping for my Rebel 500 that I absolutely loved at first sight, and would've cost only a couple thousand $ more...

But I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew for my first bike.

I've got my eye on the Forty-Eights for when it's time to upgrade, but seriously... a 1200cc Harley with a gas tank smaller than we have on these bikes, and with 1/3 less fuel economy? I know you can get it with a 4.5 gallon tank, but it changes the look quite a bit...
