Passenger seat comfort?

I'm going to get the 500 ABS version shortly and I'm curious to know if the passenger seat position is comfortable. In looking at the bike, the foot pegs seem to be a little high up and might offer a cramped sitting position. Can anyone share their experience? My wife is a constant passenger on our weekend rides and I want to be sure that she's comfortable.

My wife is about 5'2 and 130lbs... She said the passenger seat itself is pretty uncomfortable. The passenger seat doesn't have enough cushion. The ergonomics is "ok" for someone her height. Definitely not for someone much taller or long rides IMO.

Hmm. It's certainly giving me pause about pulling the trigger on this bike. I will have to consider other options.

I would honestly look at much bigger bikes for 2up comfort, unfortunately. Motorcycles in general is not a very comfortable vehicle unless you get all the bells and whistles. For short sprints around town to grab coffee and food, my wife would not hesitate to ride with me. Anything longer than an hour and her butt can't take it lol

took the wife on a short ride for breakfast and she too dislikes the pillion seat on the rebel. She says that it's bearable for about 15-20 mins but can tell that it'll get uncomfortable for anything longer than that. She does like that the rebel is on the low side and makes getting on and off it easier. She prefers riding on my Versys x300 which has a top case that she can lean back on.

here she is giving a thumbs up to the GoPro. Such a ham... lol

That's a bummer about the uncomfortable seat. Perhaps it can be rebuilt into something thicker and larger at an upholstery shop, or some third-party companies will create some pillion options.

As seen by my dealer last Saturday, a previous owner tried to set the passenger seat as much comfortable as possible.

Maybe it is but I find it ugly :

Yes, it is sold by my dealer, just 300 less than the regular price, with only 200km.

I don't know what the previous owner was thinking about when he bought the bike...
