handlebar risers for armlength-challenged riders

Both my daughters have short arms and would like the bars on their 500s back an inch or so. I have a set of Roxx Risers on my Sportster that work great. I have ones similar to this pic below. Question is would anyone like to venture a guess as to whether there is enough give in the clutch cable, brake line and throttle cables to allow an inch and a half rearward movement? If pulled back at a 45 degree angle it would be around an inch and a half movement not the full 2 inches as if they were vertical. Best scenario - someone has already done this successfully and can report on their efforts.

They won't work. The speedo mount is built into the current handle bar clamps. You need risers that would keep the top of the stock clamps at the top.

Great find, thanks. Just shot them off an email to find out if they are useable without any modifications to wiring, cables or hoses.

what is the bar diameter of the rebel 500? as i found this on revzilla for 7/8 inch bars

https://roxspeedfx.com/products/2-pi...-7-8-handlebar

if they leaned back i reckon you could get 45mm (1 4/5 inches) closer with about a 1 inch rise

The above ones are 2 inc risers and they also make a 3.5 inch riser to bring the bars wayyy back!

Did you look at this thread you posted in at all? They won't work with the stock speedo. Its literally the same thing in the first post.

I just ordered these. Will probably take a few weeks to arrive in the US but I'll post pics and a review once I have them installed.
